For the classic Stryper fans, this album may not be for you, listen at your own risk.
For the newcomers, this would be a great album to start that Stryper collection.
Sweet had a rather good run in the solo race, releasing 3 albums, all of which I thought were mediocre, but achieved success never the less.

 CMT.com : Stryper : Biography
Turning out to be their highest charting album of their career (barely missing the Top 30), the platinum-certified album benefited by MTV's repeated airings of the videos for “Calling on You" and the syrupy ballad, “Honestly" (the latter of which peaked at #23 on the U.S. singles charts).
The first Stryper release to crack the Billboard Charts, it's success resulted in the re-release of The Yellow and Black Attack (which included an extra two tracks and new artwork), in 1986.
Despite possessing a different message from their peers, Stryper's music by this point fit in perfectly with the other popular pop/hair metal bands of the day (Bon Jovi, White Lion, Dokken, etc.).

Stryper's first release, The Yellow and Black Attack!, showed the rockers to be along the lines of Def Lepperd and Quiet Riot musically, but not lyrically.

The album possesses that indefinable “it” that sucks you in despite the fact it isn’t nearly as heavy as some of their early works (Soldiers Under Command, To Hell With The Devil).
The gritty ‘10,000 Years’ and the ‘Shout At The Devil’-flavoured ‘Live Again’ (how’s that for irony?) are probably the closest Reborn gets to Stryper’s past, sealing the deal with a raucous and utterly brilliant updated version of ‘In God We Trust’.
