Amazon.com: Music: Paul Simon [EXTRA TRACKS] [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED]
Paul Simon is one of the best--if not THE best--American songwriters of the 20th Century.
On his first few solo albums, he hired the best musicians to back him on songs that were carefully composed, lyrically as well as musically, with a poetic acuity backed by sounds that supported the words and vocals with just enough musical intrigue to warrant repeated listenings, and sometimes Top 40 hit status.
I have all of Paul's solo albums, and all the Simon & Garfunkel albums -- hey there's only 5 albums after all -- but anyways, this could easily be my favourite of them all.

 Paul Kelly Musician
Paul Kelly is one of Australia's most prolific and best-regarded singer-songwriters, with a successful string of memorable songs stretching back more than 20 years.
There are few Australians who could not hum a few bars of at least one Paul Kelly song; his songs form a backdrop to many of our lives.
His music has ranged from bluegrass to studio-oriented dub reggae, but his core output comfortably straddles folk, rock, and even some country influences.

That year, Simon and Garfunkel recorded the album WEDNESDAY MORNING 3AM.
The record, that included a number of great songs, including an acoustic version of their well-known "The Sound of Silence," received a disappointing initial response.

Brickell and the 62-year-old Simon, who have been married 12 years, have never recorded an album together.
It's understandable, considering their musical gene pool: Brickell is a platinum-selling artist and their father is Grammy-winning singer-musician Paul Simon.
They're just now talking about putting together a collection of children's songs.
