 | | : After listening to this album once I was unimpressed. | | | : Although as an album, this is certainly not the best album of all time, the songs make up for it, which makes it the best album of all time without a doubt. | | | Basically, this album is a mixture of say... |

| | ALBUM REVIEW: Open Your Eyes -- Pop, Punk , Ska, Reggae All In One |
 | | “It’s Your Life” is the most reflective and flexible song on the entire album. | | | The album blasts open with the track “Going Home.” The screech of feedback shoots into four hard-driven power chords, and the bliss of pure pop-punk love song is heard. | | | The tempo is amazingly fast and the slightly offbeat drum rhythm immediately reminds me of Blink-182’s “The Party Song.” Goldfinger opens the album with a song parallel to “Mind’s Eye,” the first track of its self-titled album. |

| | Amazon.ca: Music: Sweet Harmony/Open Your Eyes [IMPORT] [BEST OF] |
 | | I can't say I like the 'Open your Eyes' CD much (I haven't given it much of a chance, but first impressions were not very convincing), but no matter, 'Sweet Harmony' is the reason for me buying this and I'm glad it's available again. | | | She opens with the blue-eyed soul of the title track, one of her most blissful songs that conveys true joy. | | | I have listened to this album, and I want to review it. |

| | Goldfinger: Open Your Eyes |
 | | Their fifth album released on Mojo/Jive Records, "Open Your Eyes" is one of the weakest Goldfinger CDs. | | | In their title track, the lyrics spit out: "Open your eyes to the millions of lies that they tell you everyday. | | | "Open Your Eyes" takes on a much more Political-Alternative rock feel whereas older Goldfinger CDs were Punk, Ska and Punk/Ska respectively. |

| | Alter Bridge - Open Your Eyes Song Review |
 | | i personally think that open your eyes is not one of their best songs because it sounds the most like creed. | | | mark, your music inspires the hell out of me. open your eyes is a great song with great lyrics. | | | anyways, 'open your eyes' isnt the only good song, take a listen to 'burn it down', 'in loving memory' and 'down to my last'. |

| | YES Open Your Eyes reviews |
 | | The tour for this album was the first time I saw Yes in concert in my country, and they only played "Open your eyes" from this album. | | | Having said that, Open Your Eyes is not all that bad. | | | "Open Your Eyes" is one of the least recommended of Yes albums. |

| | Musician Forums - (punk) Goldfinger - Open Your Eyes (PA) |
 | | A good opening track, nice drums and guitar lyrics are a bit repetative though. | | | Second single to be taken from the album and a good track all around. | | | This a good feel gud album, with subtle politcal opinions, however there're few songs I'd really listen to again and again on this album. |

| | Yes in the Press: Open Your Eyes - The Yes Chronicles |
 | | The majority of the guitar on Open Your Eyes is presumably by Sherwood, as most of it simply doesn't match Howe's style of playing--most of it is in the rockier AOR mode of Rabin than in the eclectic but immediately recognizable style of Howe. | | | The cover itself is a throwback to the UK cover of the first album: Yes, the first album, had the word "YES" in an orange speech balloon against a plain black background; Open Your Eyes has the Roger Dean "Yes" logo, in orange, also against a plain black background. | | | Even the albums' opening songs are similar, as both are propelled by a joyous, plodding, somewhat simple composition while the luscious vocal harmonies sweeten the spaces all around it. |

| | MSJ-Yes-Open Your Eyes (Surround Sound Version) |
 | | Interestingly enough, the opening guitar tone to this song, makes one think that Trevor Rabin is in the band, and there are quite a few Beatlesque moments here. | | | This is one of the best tracks on this album. | | | My favorite track on this album, this one begins with a beautiful acoustic guitar section. |

| | Open Your Eyes |
 | | " Open Your Eyes," the new studio album from Yes is due out November 25, 1997. | | | The opening phrase, "Waiting for a moment while the moment has been waiting for a time" has also been played, right before the band takes the stage at their live concerts. | | | Jon continues to recycle material on " Somehow Someday." The opening song borrows the melody from "O'er" on Jon's "The Promise Ring," which he borrowed from "Boundaries" on "Animation." The song quiclkly moves into a different direction only going back to the "O'er" bit in other places, including a pretty acoustic interlude by Steve. |

| | Open Your Eyes by Alter Bridge Songfacts |
 | | this is the best song i like by a band simular to creed but yea i think it talks about your past thought and how u regret wat u did in the past. | | | Like many songs on the album, this is about regrets. | | | I think Alter Bridge would be a different band, since the members are matured in their type of music and although most are from a former band I could proudly say that they stand out from the previous one. |

| | Open Your Eyes by Goldfinger CD |
 | | What's more amazing is that Goldfinger's brand of goofy/cheeky, brash, Ramone-descended pop-punk remains fresh on OPEN YOUR EYES, with catchy songs 10 times more deft and intelligent than many similarly bred bands. | | | The mid-life adolescent yearning of "Here In Your Bedroom" off the band's eponymous debut was pretty much it for them in the pop world. | | | I have been a Goldfinger fan for a long time, and this CD is (in my opinion) their best yet. |

| | Earth, Wind & Fire : Open Our Eyes - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect |
 | | Thanks to treasures like "Kalimba Song," the gritty funk smoker "Mighty Mighty," and the unforgettable "Devotion," Open Our Eyes became EWF's first gold album and went to the top of the R&B charts. | | | It's also interesting to note that with this album, singer Jessica Cleaves was gone, resulting in the first time EWF had an all-male lineup. | | | The 2001 CD reissue adds four previously unreleased bonus tracks, one of them a "Walkin' in N'awlins" mix of "Fair But So Uncool," though the other three songs did not appear on the original album in an alternate form. |
