Nowhere Man - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Nowhere Man" is a song by British 1960s rock group The Beatles, on their hit album Rubber Soul.
Though the songwriting credit is Lennon-McCartney, it was actually penned solely by John Lennon and recorded on October 21 and 22, 1965.
The band realizes one of their songs sums Jeremy up well and they sing "Nowhere Man" about him as they cavort with his magic in his nowhere land.

Is that what I am, a nowhere man? Trent thought as the chiming guitars entered and took the song to a new level, blending beautifully with John, Paul, and George's voices.
"Nowhere Man" was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and is copywrited1965, Northern Songs Inc. The story is my own.
"Listen, man," he started in a no-nonsense tone, "I've enjoyed being part of the band and all, but I don't know how much longer I can stand to play with a drummer who couldn't keep a steady rhythm with a pacemaker."

However, both of the backwards voices on Beatles recordings that do sound like they mention a "dead man" happen to be on the same album.
This is again doubly eerie, in that this backwards message again mentions the phrase "dead man", and that the very next line on the record, sung by Paul, "Blackbird singing in the dead of night", also mentions death.
Although not included on the Anthology 3 CD, a portion of the song I'm So Tired with a different mix than the released version was played on the Anthology TV show in 1996.

Although Nowhere Man is subtitled as the final days of John Lennon, I think the reason that the book is as excellent as it is, is because it truly gives you an idea of who Lennon became from all of his life experiences.
Doing significantly more than just giving us a little background information on Lennon, Nowhere Man is the essence behind Lennon, and everything he turned out to be.
The simple insight into Lennon's music will forever change the way we listen to his numerous albums.

Flaherty's "Man of No Importance" ballads are the musical equivalent of treading water.
The latter problem can be traced directly to the ballads of Stephen Flaherty, the composer whose lush anthems made "Ragtime" so memorable.
In this musical Flaherty avoids much of the sentiment we associate with songs like "Danny Boy," but he substitutes something far worse -- the sentimentality we associate with composers like Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Its 22 songs add a focus to Banhart’s vision, both musically and lyrically.
When he and his band booked into the smaller barn/studio at Bearsville, in Woodstock, New York, for a month this past winter, 45 songs sprang out.
Although he does have a precedent in other man-child performers, ranging from Syd Barrett to the mentally damaged savant Daniel Johnston, Banhart sounds so unlike most artists today that it often feels as if his music came out of nowhere — at least, no place where adults, and especially record-company executives, tread.
