New Georgia Encyclopedia: Georgia Music Hall of Fame
The Music Factory encourages children to explore the world of music, including the sounds and instruments of other countries, careers in music, families of instruments, and musical styles.
The Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon is the state's official music museum.
Each style of music is represented in one of Tune Town's buildings, which include a rhythm and blues club, a chapel, a café, and "Backstage Alley," an area featuring people behind the scenes in the music industry (such as songwriters, producers, and attorneys).

Music Hall - Education - Information - Educational Resources - Encyclopedia - Music
Stage and Film musicals, however, continued to be influenced by the music hall idiom.
Typically a music hall song consists of a series of verses sung by the performer alone, and a repeated chorus which carries the principal melody, and in which the audience is encouraged to join.
The pressure for greater rewards for music hall songwriters led to the application of copyright law to musical compositions.

A Brief History of the Music Hall
From that time, the music halls simply had to be run on the same lines as theatres.
At its peak, music hall was the television of its day.
As far as sound recording goes, a convenient watershed is the year 1925 when the electrical recording process was first commercially introduced, making obsolete the previous mechanical "acoustic" recordings.

 ACFL&MH Music Hall
With its wonderful acoustic the Music Hall has been the site of many performances of concerts, musicals and stage plays.
Stage 62 performs a musical each fall, a children's show in the winter, a drama in the spring and usually a musical in the summer.
It has even been used for the production of musical recordings on CDs.

 British Music Hall
Most music hall songs were sentimental and/or comic takes on everyday life, as well as spoofs of the rich and famous.
While everyone went for the music and comedy, there is no question that the availability of liquor was part of the music hall's appeal.
The music halls gave the British public a solid tradition of popular musical theatre.

 Kleinhans Music Hall
The predominant lines of the music hall both outside and inside are smoothly curvilinear and sweeping, suggesting not only the shape of a stringed musical instrument but the shape of music itself in its motion and flow.
The Circle was renamed Symphony Circle in 1958 because of its association with Kleinhans Music Hall and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Although acoustically superb, the main performance hall is almost austerely plain, perhaps to keep the audience from being diverted from the music.

 About Music Hall
This species of musical treadmill is continued until the exhausted singer has sung four songs, when (if he sternly refuses to sing any more) he is set free, and allowed to exercise, over other Music Halls, the improving influence of his talent.
As it is, she is only a Music Hall singer - but such a one!
In the latter case, the audience consists of men alone, and the entertainment is made up of songs, glees, and part songs, executed by a well-trained choir, in which will be found boys with fresh and lusty voices which it does one’s heart good to hear.

Since then, BAS has been dedicated to both musical tradition and innovation through re-workings of forgotten musical pieces and the composition of new works for their "Neo Acoustic" quartet.

 Albert Chevalier
The music is given as composed by Chevalier himself.
Albert Chevalier Chevalier was not of the music hall, nor did he ever feel himself to belong there.
It is among the Cockney music-hall songs that are to be found some of the best "songs from the heart" sung in the halls.

 Barry Anthony
It could be argued that the narrative nature of the music hall song influenced the structure of films themselves; certainly producers filmed visual interpretations of songs to accompany live singers or recordings.
A succession of music hall managers, agents, performers and entrepreneurs influenced the type of films made, their content, and their means of promotion and distribution.
Immediately after their initial exhibition at West End music halls films were established as a standard feature on variety programmes throughout the United Kingdom.

Aftermath: Music Hall - an era coming to an end
Cinema, dance-bands, musical comedy, and the fledgling BBC were all playing their part in reducing its traditional audience.
Since she was a star even in her teenage years, late recordings like A Little of what you Fancy can give us only a flavour of the exuberance that thrilled and delighted audiences before the war.
Astonishingly, many of her geatest hits, Don't Dilly Dally, One of the Ruins that Cromwell knocked about a bit, and Oh Mr Porter, were never recorded.

Meanwhile music flourished in other Roman institutions as well, like the choir of Saint Peter's, which Julius II reconstituted in 1513, and where Palestrina served as maestro di cappella.
They performed both the traditional chants of the Middle Ages, using splendid chant manuscripts, a few of which are exhibited here, and modern, polyphonic music of great richness and difficulty.
The manuscripts shown here present only a few samples of the extraordinary musical life sponsored by the Renaissance papacy and the remarkable musical libraries of the papal singers.

The Light Music Hall of Fame
In the "Classic" days of film, radio and TV it was commissioned by European music publishers who had developed a recorded music division; or -- in the U.S. -- it was more often the result of a composer or music packager who wanted to re-cycle music composed for a different production.
Here are some composer/arrangers of what used to be called "Mood Music" or "Cue Music", now called "Production Music." Usually it is sold as part of a Music Scoring Service or Production Music Library.
Sometimes the original cue was "laundered" by having a few notes changed and the structure switched around, and then the whole thing re-recorded by a foreign orchestra, so it could be given a new title for the purpose of collecting performance royalties.

You're also limited to using the 128 General Midi voices (instruments.) However, due to the fact that no actual sounds are recorded, most MIDI files are minute in size and therefore easy to download.
