Kraftwerk's 1974 album Autobahn, which was a revolutionary record in the development of electronic music.
Despite the advent of low-cost digital synthesizers and samplers, the Minimoog remains in high demand with producers and performers of electronic pop and electronic music.
Also, the second album, "Sequencer" has a lot of Minimoog plus Moog 15 modular synthesizer intense sequencer based compositions....both are excellent electronic music albums.

Minimoog V is not multitimbral, which means there's no performance mode.
The question that's probably foremost on your mind is “Does it sound like a real Minimoog?” My answer is a qualified “yes.” It probably won't fool an experienced synthesist if you listen to both instruments side by side, but it comes pretty darned close.
If you want to use several timbres at the same time, you'll need to open a new instance of Minimoog V for each sequencer track.

The Minimoog is best at its signature sounds and sound FX, you can imitate some acoustic instruments but the Minimoog is so much its own instrument that imitative synthesis is pointless.
You lose a VCO for audio but one Minimoog VCO sounds so huge on its own that two are enough.
About 90% of the analog synth sounds you hear on 70's records are Minimoog, and they are still being used today.

One minor gripe, which I have noted to Moog Music, is that the keyboard tracking to the filter is not processed by the glide processor.
In audio it sounds pretty good, as good as the Minimoog and thankfully lacking the "heartbeat" of other noise sources from the Norlin/pre-Big Briar Moog Music.
If you apprciate Minimoogs (or their junior cousins), this is the Ultimate.

Believe it or not, I had also barely heard a Minimoog first hand, and was mostly basing my opinions on reviews and recordings.
(Actually, the best "live" Minimoog I had heard up to that point was at the hands of Brian Kehew when he did his "Close Encounters" Minimoog solo at the start of an "Air" gig in Dublin's Olympia Theatre - it sounded truly spectacular, so many thanks Brian)

As a result, what is sold everywhere else in the world as the Moog Music Minimoog Voyager has to go by the name 'Voyager by Bob Moog' in the UK.

Minimoog V's third oscillator has two low-frequency modes.
I was far less successful with pianos and other percussive emulations, but weird sound effects and off-the-wall cacophonies leap forth almost unbidden once you start to experiment with the matrix.
In contrast, generating FM sounds by modulating at audio frequencies does not, although the differences could possibly be corrected by changing the amplitude of the modulation signal, or by replacing some of the aged components in my 30 year-old synth.

Lovely warm pads and a beepy sequence are what this track is all about, until sweet melodies appear that sound so bright and pleasant it's amazing!
Excellent if a bit brief solo appears towards the end.

The MiniMoog V does not disappoint in terms of sonic integrity to the original, and heck, in terms of overall expressivity as a musical instrument.
My first synth ever was a Moog Prodigy, a synth that made a lasting impression on me on how an analog filter should sound.
I think so, and if you love old analog synths, its a must have.

Big Briar acquired the rights to use the Moog Music name in 2002 after a legal battle with Don Martin who had previously bought the rights to the name Moog Music.
1971 Moog Music began production of the Minimoog Model D which was among the first widely available, portable and relatively affordable synthesizers.
At the same time, Moog designed a new version of the Minimoog called the Minimoog Voyager.

Before the advent of midi, synthesizers played one note at a time, and Bhatia simulated luscious orchestral music on a four-track recorder and a Minimoog.
Amin Bhatia originally wanted to work with an orchestra but couldn't find space for them in his basement, so he settled for synthesizers instead.
The debt to composers like John Williams is evident, but Bhatia manages to avoid bombast and electronic clichés, leaning instead on string timbres and Minimoog brass.
