John Winston Ono Lennon, (October 9, 1940–December 8, 1980), is best known as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist for The Beatles.
John Lennon's Mellotron, used to record, among other songs, Strawberry Fields Forever, is currently owned by Trent Reznor of the band Nine Inch Nails.
Lennon's final words were reported to be "I'm John Lennon of the Beatles".
