Elton's self-titled second album was released in the spring of 1970, and started to sell well in the U.S., where it was released on the MCA's Uni subsidiary.
Sir Elton Hercules John, CBE (born March 25, 1947) is a rock music singer, composer, and pianist, and is one of the most successful solo artists in music history.
John was the dominant commercial force in the rock world in the 1970s, as evidenced by seven consecutive #1 records on the U.S. album charts.

John's 1995 album Made In England continued his comeback, peaking at number three on the UK charts and number 13 in the US; in America, the album went platinum.
Throughout the mid-'70s, John's concerts were enormously popular, as were his singles and albums, and he continued to record and perform at a rapid pace until 1976.
For his next project, John reunited with Lion King collaborator Tim Rice to write songs for Disney's Broadway musical adaptation of the story of Aida; an album of their efforts featuring a who's-who of contemporary pop musicians was released in early 1999, going gold by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, John's vocals are often perfunctory: he might as well not have been on "Are You Ready For Love" at all, as it's really a showcase for the Spinners.
