In the Flesh Live - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The title is an allusion to the 1977 tour for the Animals album, as well as the two songs so titled on the album The Wall.
Returning from a 12 year long hiatus from the road, the In The Flesh tours were a showcase of Roger Waters' best known work from his days with Pink Floyd to his recently released solo album Amused to Death.
The Rose Garden show in Portland was both filmed and recorded and subsequently released as a DVD and double cd titled 'In the Flesh.'

Roger Waters-In The Flesh Live (2000)
This concert creates a truly immersive 5.1 live surround sound experience and uses numerous backing sound effects cleverly, all taken from the original studio recordings of the songs and timed and mixed in to perfection.
The surround speakers are also used to very good effect with the various backing tracks (taken from the original studio recordings and mixed in to perfection, as if you are indeed listening to the studio recording).
Aliasing is usually always the biggest problem with live concert footage, given the endless pans across the same single static scene, and the preponderance of straight lines (like guitar strings and keyboards) and edges (stage borders) with which this little critter can manifest itself and divert your attention.

It is worth mentioning the 2000 In The Flesh tour, differed from the 1999 tour song wise, in that, Thin Ice, Another Brick In The Wall, Part 1, What God Wants Part 1 and Who Needs Information were dropped in favour of Set The Controls, and The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range.
The encore song Each Small Candle, is a new song, and was first heard on the last date of 1999 In The Flesh Tour (Kemper Arena, Kansas City, MO August 28th).
Well, yes and no. Although the basic structures of etched-in-the-consciousness songs such as "Another Brick in the Wall" and "Comfortably Numb" remain essentially unchanged, the scope of Waters's new arrangements -- which include multiple guitars and massed vocals -- are considerably wider than even the cinematic sounds of the originals.

Roger Waters' sixth solo release In The Flesh Live was released in December of 2000.
At the time, Roger was going to record his first proper live album but there was a clause in Roger's deal with EMI in Pink Floyd that he couldn't re-record his OWN songs after he switched to Sony worldwide.
It's a double live album culled from the recent live shows he did (late 99 and early 2000).

IN THE FLESH LIVE is a high definition concert film which utilizes the most advanced audiovisual technology.

Roger Waters: In the Flesh Live (2000) (V)
Roger Waters, who was the songwriting mastermind behind such classic Pink Floyd (with whom he played bass, from their origination in 1965 to 1985) albums as "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall," triumphs in this collection of footage from his massive In The Flesh World Tour.
His songwriting abilities shine in such deliciously satirical and cynical songs as "Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert," "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives," and "Amused To Death." Just as with his former outfit, his ability to perform on stage is captivating (without the overexposing grandeur of massive stadium shows).
