 Heart and Circulatory System
These are the "lub-dub" sounds you hear when you listen to someone's heart.
A heart murmur is an abnormal sound (like a blowing or whooshing sound) that's heard when listening to the heart.
Did you ever wonder about the process behind your beating heart?

 Stars: Heart: Pitchfork Review
When an album starts off with each member of the band announcing "I am ____, and this is my heart," you should probably know straight off what you're getting into.
But as of yet we don't have immigration quotas on music from the Great White North, and Heart is a valuable pop record for those of us whose cardiac muscle hasn't stained completely black like that of, I dunno, Chris Ott.
If the subject matter sounds a bit Hallmark, well, it is, but it's so persistently romantic that it should just about reach the level of excusably cornball for emotion-arbiters, like the video for Air's "All I Need" or the final scene from Field of Dreams.

 RFTC.com - Group Sounds Review
Group Sounds features both Superchunk drummer John Wurster and new RFTC member Mario Rubalcaba (Black Heart Procession) sharing duties along with the usual cast of characters all of whom operate under the command of rocker extraordinaire, Speedo (John Reis).
Unlike RFTC's more recent releases, Group Sounds is for the most part a bit less polished, and as a result it comes off sounding like the group's more impressive earlier albums, 1992's Circa: Now!, and 95's Scream, Dracula, Scream!.
From the pounding introduction to "Straight American Slave," to the super catchy "Heart Of A Rat," and "Out of Control," the band is in it's usual unabashedly tight form, and they blast through each of the record's thirteen tracks with enough attitude to lead a revolution.

Again, if the sound is organic and played with the correct voicing; your listeners may never know that they were listening to a big plastic box with the heart of a computer.
Eclectic sounds focusing on the timbres that seemed to catch Dennis' ear and exploring forth from that.
It sounds like a mixture between a bag pipe and a cat with his tail caught in a spinning wheel.

 Clannad, Chieftains Help Us Feel Celtic Heart ;
Far and away my pick of the contemporary Irish music litter is Clannad, who have given the sounds of their Celtic heritage a universal voice, almost single-handedly inventing the "world music" genre.
For whatever reason(s), Irish music has enjoyed mushrooming popularity over the past 10 years, with a wide and eclectic range of artists interpreting the sounds of the ancient Celts and the songs of their descendants.
Just in time for post-parade day healing, the band has released "Greatest Hits," an 18-track tour of Clannad's best and brightest meanderings through their homeland.

 themusicedge.com :: Sounds Eclectic 3 (KCRW)
The song sounds barren at first with quiet acoustic guitar and vocals, but it builds nicely to become a romantic, heart-felt ballad.
In the third volume of Sounds Eclectic, a compilation released to benefit the not-for-profit radio station KCRW 89.9 in Santa Monica, CA, you will find a cohesive collection of songs performed live in various studios.
A perfect example of this is Steve Earle’s recording of “Jerusalem.” It seems that Nic Harcourt, radio show host and producer for “Sounds Eclectic 3”, saved the best for last.

LOSINGTODAY.COM - THE INDIE MUSIC MAGAZINE
The sounds are eerie, again like Fennesz, an exponent of powerbook manipulations, but whereas Fennesz retains the basic key lines to melody and defined structure, Hampson prefers to stretch the limitations to create an almost drone like wall of sound.
Sounding not unlike, at times, a speeded version of 'Bette Davis Eyes' by Kim Carnes or is it only me that thinks that, nonetheless, 'Gulag Arpeggio' has that kind of heart warming flavour that made those early Lloyd Cole and Lotus Eaters singles so damn timelessly wonderful.
Tack on a sublime sounding 'In my mind' which references Belle and Sebastian circa 'Tigermilk' when fringes were even longer still, throw in some wayward theramins and a pipe for the drummer to strike at will and you have a potential sunshine hit in the Of Montreal variety, wonderful.

The Black Heart Procession - Epitonic.com: Hi Quality Free and Legal MP3 Music
Black Heart Procession is from San Diego, but sounds like a band comprised of the lonesome abandoned children of some lost Faulkner novel who have continued living in their decrepit, dilapidated family mansion for years since the tragic deaths of their aristocratic parents.
Black Heart's 2002 release Amore Del Tropico, their fourth long-player (and first non-numerically titled album), is a more upbeat affair, not a difficult task considering how gloriously sad the first three albums were.
On each of their four full-length albums, Black Heart Procession uses saws, stripped-down unconventional percussion, Wurlitzer piano, subtle Moog, and other nontraditional instrumentation to create the kind of carnivalesque dirges we've come to expect from Tom Waits over the years.

 VH1.com : Atom Heart : Biography
Although prolific since his first singles as I, Atomu Shinzo, Bi-Face, and Mike McCoy, Atom Heart began stepping up his production in the early to mid-'90s in association with the noted trance and ambient label Fax, also based in Frankfurt.
Through a number of solo and collaborative outings with Tetsu Inoue and label-head Pete Namlook, Schmidt helped to formulate the melodic hard trance and techno sounds associated with the Frankfurt scene, and also had the opportunity to dabble in other forms of electronic experimentation, particularly ambient (to which Fax almost wholly shifted its focus).

Rambles: Darcy Nair, I Feel My Heart Fly
On I Feel My Heart Fly, she proves that she's a fine musician even when she's not dressed in pirate clothes and making random "aargh" sounds.
Highlights on the remainder of the album include the mournful love song "Arise Arise," the dulcimer and wooden flute duet on "The Sunset," the dulcimer and dumbek duet on "Eight and Forty Sisters" and the lively medley that closes the album.
Dulcimer fans in particular should want this one, but anyone who enjoys Celtic music with a delicate touch should try it out.

 Modern Fix
Here’s another fine band from the chunk of land best known for a bikini team, whatever the fuck that is. At first, this Epitaph/Burning Heart release sounds a bit like the musical sex child of Iggy Pop and Tanner, with the vocals by Joshua Todd’s kid brother.
I didn’t get a copy of the lyric sheet so I cant say what their about but musically it seems cool and judging from the titles of the songs, it would seem the lyrics are pretty normal.
There are a couple catchy choruses throughout the record but since I’m not a huge fan of this style of music its hard for me to keep interest the whole way through.

Sounding like he's crunched the beats into metallic almost harsh bits he pulls of a startling new album retaining that Depth Charge funk.
Judging by the single, and reviews on the album i have read so far, i reckon this album could be a big success particularly with New Order fans.

PINK FLOYD Atom Heart Mother reviews and MP3
atom heart mother suite, taking up a whole side of the album to itself is one of the most underated pink floyd tracks of their career.
This is more of a suite than a song, as the not only the structures changes, but also the mood, as we go from scary to happy, and the whole thing accentuated by the use of a choir in a pretty unusual way, as it sings through sounds and mostly is used as percussions.
You have a first track, the title track, which is a fine suite and the soul of the record with its classical arrangements built with orchestral instruments (trombones, horns, mellotron, piano, bass, violin) and choir, and some discrete rock interferences performed by one solo guitar and some drumming.

 //radiotakeover v4.2 - + - sounds of the underground
Sounds of the Underground is a multi band festival of cross genre underground bands from the metal and hardcore scenes.
Consistently energetic, tight, and sincere, NORA has developed from their beginnings as a fledgeling side project into a band that has traveled Europe, the United States, and Canada, and continues to explore new ground with a touring schedule that is not for the faint of heart.
In times past, they've shared members with bands such as Burnt by the Sun and Ensign, and have incorporated the experiences and backgrounds of these widely disparate sounds into a chaotic tumble that breathes the sound and life of their home turf.

 ateaseweb.com mb radiohead at ease
The tone of "Unholy" is totally different to that of "Open Heart Zoo", gone are the moments which could be mistaken for Aqualung or Chris Martin, instead are soothing orchestral outings or Cobain-esque acoustic guitar lines, in parts, "Unholy" sounds more like a film score than a rock album.
This record will leave most listeners totally baffled, but the lucky ones who, "get it" will be treated to an extremely diverse record which easily matches "Open Heart Zoo", it’s sonorous tone and changing emotion grabs the listener and challenges them.
"Unholy" is a more grown up, edgy album than 2002’s "Open Heart Zoo", there is just as much depth and range, but the tracks somehow manage to flow into each other, peaking with heavy rock stompers, then pulling back with lilting, mellow tracks like, "Lint" where Grech’s voice is reduced almost to a whisper.

Jessica Andrews, Billie, Mulberry Lane, Penelope Houston — Pop Stops for 05/27/99 by John Everson
Heart Shaped World is a collection of catchy country tunes (written by a host of talented songwriters — including a heart-wrenching breakup ballad by Tom Petty band member Benmont Tench) that often cross the border into pop hit land.
She's 15-year-old Jessica Andrews, and much like LeAnn Rimes, she croons on her debut CD with a voice that sounds far more mature than her years.
Ranging from contemplative ballads in the style of Beth Nielsen Chapman ("The Riverside") to a country pop style bringing up images of Faith Hill (who asked Andrews to tour with her), Heart Shaped World will be winning over fans and hearts on both sides of the country/pop dividing line this summer.

The Von Bondies - Pawn Shoppe Heart: Silent Uproar
Pawn Shoppe Heart is everything good about rock’n’roll: It’s raw, it’s powerful, it’s loaded with incredible songs that are practically perfect in every way.
The only song that falls a little short for me is “Poison Ivy,” and it just doesn’t seem to have the same fire, mostly just ending up power pop that sounds a little weaker than the rest of the super-strong songs.
The foursome is currently touring in support of what I think is an early front-runner for Album of the Year.

Part two adds a demo version of "To Earth With Love", which sounds even more like the Who than the song did on the album, but the other b-side is my favorite of their entire set, and one I'd gladly trade for another band on the grounds that it sounds like another band.
Memorable performances of first-album songs don't necessarily improve my opinion of the second album, but they do reinforce my loyalty to the band, so the next try with new songs will have a better chance.
And the song I trade another unknown band for is the one new b-side, "Better Off on Her Own", a touching departure hymn performed as an acoustic-guitar sing-along with no sequencers to be heard.
