A regular at the Grand Ole Opry, in 1954 Hank Snow persuaded the directors to allow a new singer by the name of Elvis Presley to appear on stage.
In 1979, Hank Snow was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Nova Scotia Music Hall of Fame.
Clarence Eugene Snow (May 9, 1914 – December 20, 1999), better known as Hank Snow, was a Hall of Fame country music singer and songwriter.

Perhaps Bear Family's most significant achievement is restoring the Hank Snow catalog to print, redressing years of unjustified neglect on the part of record companies and the industry in general towards one of the giants of country music.
Renowned as a feisty and cantankerous personality, 'Hank Snow' (as he dubbed himself around 1933), formulated a vision of his music grounded in a firm grasp of country music's roots.

The young talent's name was Elvis Presley, and Hank took him on as an opening act, and later invited him to the Grand Ole Opry and introduced him to Colonel Parker who eventually became Elvis' Manager.
Hank Snow sold over 70 million records in his career that spanned 78's, 45's, extended 45's, LP's, 8-tracks, cassettes and compact discs.
Ernest Tubb invited Hank to the Grand Ole Opry on January 7, 1950.
