 Graveyard Dirt
The third class of graveyard dirt work consists of coercive love spells in which dirt from the grave of someone who loved you is used to ensorcel and enthrall a living lover.
In fact, the use of Graveyard Dirt to force someone to love you is so well known in the black community that it was specifically described in the blues song "Conjured," recorded by Wynnonie Harries on August 6th, 1964 in Chicago, Illinios.
The man who gave me my version of the Graveyard Dirt Love Spell -- and he was no "Baron" from Australia, but an African-American candle store owner in Oakland, California, back in the 1960s -- said to use the dirt from the grave of someone who had loved you in life.

Go to the graveyard at midnight and take some mud from the infidels grave with a knife, bring it back and let it dry well.
They say if you have an enemy around and you want to drive them away from you, go to the graveyard, to the grave of a child.
They will never be successful in any undertaking that they do.

Questions and Answers about the Political Graveyard
Why do you include living persons in a Graveyard?
May I put a link to The Political Graveyard on my own page?
For example: "the political graveyard is full of candidates who thought money could buy them victory," or "those two Senate bills are destined for the political graveyard." Secondarily, positions or institutions associated with political doom are often called political graveyards.

Detailed information might be found in the register of deeds and probates, in church records, or in clerics' records.

The Spitfire Graveyard - Sheffield, England
As of October 2001, The Spitfire Graveyard has its own website.
These days most, if not all, are sold on in one piece.
The 'real boneyard' is located at the far back of the main arch, where it's very dark and eerie, with the sound of dripping water in the background.

Several Graveyard poets are represented here but more work is required to bring these poets from the gloomy night of obscurity to the web.
Graveyard poetry flourished in the first half of the Eighteenth Century and continued the ground work which would eventually become the Gothic.

 Amazon.com: DVD: Graveyard Shift (1990)
I just finished watching Graveyard Shift and I have to say that this is definately a very lame movie.
Graveyard Shift is always high on the list of bad Stephen King films but I don't think it's all that bad.
I have the advantage of never having read the story so I have no point of reference to compare it to, which helps I think.

Even Mike McDowell, president of the Indiana Ghost Trackers, conducts tours at the "Gypsies Graveyard" at least twice a year.
Because of that, the townspeople and their descendants would forever pay a price for their inhospitable attitude -- the gypsies had cursed the city and their dead haunted what would later become South East Grove Cemetery.
Today the cemetery, also known as the "Gypsies Graveyard," seems serene and peaceful.

The Literary Gothic The Graveyard School
Here, in alphabetical order, are the Graveyard School poets represented at LitGothic:
Quite popular even into the early years of the C19, the Graveyard School poets were, not surprisingly, an important factor in the development of the Gothic novel, helping to create not only a vocabulary of gloomy imagery but a popular taste that recognized the emotional, moral, and even "psychological" value of that imagery.
No, not a place (though it would look great on a diploma), the "Graveyard School" refers to a group of C18 poets — mostly male, which is why we here at LitGothic tend to think of them, affectionately, as "the Boneyard Boys" — whose writings frequently touched on themes of death, mortality, religion, and melancholy.

Often set in a graveyard, their poems mused on the vicissitudes of life, the solitude of death and the grave, and the anguish of bereavement.
graveyard school, 18th-century school of English poets who wrote primarily about human mortality.
The most famous graveyard poems were Robert Blair's The Grave (1743), Edward Young's nine-volume The Complaint, or Night Thoughts on Life, Death, and Immortality (1742–45), and Thomas Gray's "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" (1750).

 PIONEER GRAVEYARD
In addition to the compiled list, probably 20 others who were buried in the graveyard are known, their headstones having been entirely destroyed.
This graveyard was the public burying ground from about 1812 until about 1852, though there were a few burials there as late as 1873.
The committee agreed that the name "Pioneer Graveyard" would be an appropriate one and it was so named.

GRAVEYARD X: ILLINOIS' MOST MYSTERIOUS CEMETERY?
We were accompanied to the graveyard by Tim Harte and Mike Hollinshead, creators of a sophisticated computer tracking system.
I should add that I have searched diligently for a logical explanation as to where this sound could be coming from but there are no houses near the cemetery - and why would children be playing and laughing near the cemetery during the early morning hours, when several of the witnesses have reported the sounds?
More than a year after I first began delving into the strangeness of Graveyard X, I returned there in the company of ghost researcher Bob Schott, who was filming an installment of the now defunct series "Adventures Beyond".

Monumental Images - Burial grounds of Edinburgh, Glasgow and elsewhere.
This site began in 1998 when I was wondering what to do with the photographs I'd taken in some of the local graveyards - today there's over forty burial grounds from Edinburgh and beyond.
As I said, my interest is photography, I'm not a genealogist and other than the photographs here and many more on my computer, that's all I have, no burial records I'm afraid.
The purpose of the site is merely to share some of my photographs - and whether you're looking to see were an ancestor lies buried or, like me, you just like wandering around old graveyards - I hope you enjoy your visit.

 Vegas4Visitors Attractions Neon Graveyard
YESCO offered refuge to many of those signs over the years, creating what was colloquially known as the Neon Graveyard (or Boneyard to some), a big fenced off lot located near their main facility where classic neon artwork was left to fade and rot in the unrelenting Nevada sun.
These signs represented the last bits of the colorful history that Las Vegas has swept away in the name of modernity.
The Neon Museum will be starting a capital campaign this year to build a permanent museum on the site where the graveyard is located.

 Graveyard Fence
A post by JMccoog@aol.com (Nov 12 1996) said "we made as many of the list items as we had time for - graveyard fence from pvc and 2x4", indicating that the technology had already hit the mainstream.
Our nice, quiet graveyard was already full, so we wanted to keep visiting trick-or-treaters out.
Given the proximity of these posts, I would suggest that the PVC fence came to Halloween-L in Autumn of 1996.

Sahaf said reports that U.S.-led coalition forces had secured the airport were not true, and compared those reports to the movie "Wag the Dog," in which Hollywood filmmakers faked battle scenes in a studio that were then shown as television news reports.
He said that if the Americans and British did not surrender, the airport would become a "graveyard" for the "American villains."
Sahaf said coalition forces were completely immobilized and "nailed down" at the airport.
