 Everyman Theatre
Everyman does a fine job of this fist revue but it still has yet to do a musical.
Everyman has assembled a cast with a great deal of talent and given the directing assignment to Donald Hicken whose impressive biography is heavy on dramas but lists few, if any, musicals.

INKPOT#64 CLASSICAL MUSIC REVIEWS: SIBELIUS Everyman. Belshazzar's Feast. The Countess's Portrait (BIS)
"Gloria in excelsis Deo" - sings the choir as Everyman ascends to Heaven.
The medievality of the morality play is captured, here in the 20th century, by the dark stretches of music, the ominous bell-tolling, even the chant-like singing and indeed, the use of the pipe organ.
Incidental music to the play by Hjalmar Procopé.

Review of Terry Seymour's "A Guide to Collecting Everyman's Library"
This is stupendous information for Everyman's collectors, as it is clear which titles are easy to find and which ones are difficult - and helps focus the search for tough titles on the internet (with over 1000 titles, it is vital to narrow the search).
In addition, as Everyman's (and Modern) Library dealer Joe Hill will attest, Everyman's titles have a market beyond the collector, as a significant number are still the most readily available scholarly editions of important fiction and non-fiction titles.
Also unique to Seymour's Guide is information about sales of each title and a related indicator of scarcity.

§22. "Everyman". III. The Early Religious Drama. Vol. 5. The Drama to 1642, Part One. The Cambridge History of ...
The poet endeavoured to give dramatic animation to his subject by making use of a parable which is told in the legend of Barlaam and Josaphat: how a man had three friends, of whom one only declared himself ready to accompany him before the throne of the judge before whom he is summoned.
4 Everyman treats, in allegorical style, of the hour of death, and thus deals with a sphere of ideas which, in the devotional literature of the later Middle Ages, is one of the main subjects; the most famous book of that sort, Ars moriendi, was published in an English translation by Caxton in 1491.
The most famous, however, among all these moralities is Every-man, whose date of composition cannot be defined precisely; we only know that the earliest printed editions, both undated, must belong to the period between 1509 and 1530; but so early as 1495 a Dutch translation was printed.
