Fans of the novel and the film have latched on to the first two rules of fight club as a meme and have made it into a catchphrase (although slightly changed to "you do not talk about fight club", based on the variation in the film).
As of June 23, 2004 Fight Club is in development as a musical, developed by Palahniuk, Fincher, and Trent Reznor.
Seether — A music video for the song "Remedy" was confirmed to be inspired by Fight Club.

The club itself was based on a series of fights that Palahniuk got into over previous years (most notably one that he got into during a camping trip).

In the film Fight Club, the real name of the protagonist (Ed Norton’s character) is never revealed.
In the end, Calvin’s involvement with Fight Club and return of Hobbes can be boiled down to two words: "Personal Responsibility." For although Fight Club and Project Mayhem were both mostly Tyler’s doing, by the end of the movie, Jack readily accepts his own part of the blame, as Tyler is his creation.
This makes the reality of Fight Club all the bleaker, because it depicts what happens when you take someone weaned on dreams and limitless possibilities and jam him into a cramped cage confined by rules and regulations.

The Movie: Originally I had reviewed Fight Club as "a terrifying vision of what one guy with head problems can do, [Fight Club] is a semi-thought provoking, very disturbing and socially irresponsible film." After watching Fight Club 3 more times since then, I have realized that it is much deeper than I originally thought.
Not to be outdone by any, Fox took the Fight Club movie and made it quite possibly one of the best DVDs on the market today with the extras.
In short - Fight Club gives us a look into the commercialism of our culture along with other various sub-plots.

Even die-hard Fight Club fans who give it a little try, just to play as their favourite characters from the film will be woefully disappointed at the wasted use of the license.
Fight Club doesn't have much going for it, except lots of disappointment - the in-game graphics are nice, but then again, not as nice as better fighting games like Mortal Kombat: Deception, which actually have gameplay too.

Fight Club did have some good points that questions "Who are we?" "Why are we so focused on material possesions, wordly success and then wonder why we feel so dead inside?" Unfortunatley the bad points far outweigh the few too good ones.
"Fight Club" though technically skilled and well acted is nothing more than an attempt to dehumanize the world and take all emotion from it by glorifying a life that signifies nothing.
When I first saw the trailer for "Fight Club" I thought, "this looks like a dumb movie".

The narrator's fight with himself to blackmail his boss is at the car company in the film; in the novel, it was done to threaten his boss at the hotel where Tyler had gotten him a job as a waiter.
The film ends with the narrator and Marla watching buildings explode, while the novel ends with the narrator talking about a mental institution (which he believes is heaven) to which he has been confined.
