Appetite for Destruction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While the songwriting credits are indiscriminately credited to all five band members, many of the songs were solo tracks that individual band members wrote in the pre-GNR era.
The band compromised, and put the original cover art inside, replacing it with a cover depicting a crucifix and skulls of the five band members, somewhat like Grateful Dead album artwork.
Appetite for Destruction was rock and roll band Guns N' Roses' breakthrough album.

No Life Til Metal - CD Gallery - Destruction
A two-on-one disc CD reissue containing the band's first EP and their first full length album "Infernal Ovekill." Important albums in the history of thrash metal, and even the beginnings of death metal.
Destruction has always come across to me as a "noisy" thrash band, something they began to clean up in later years with "Released from Agony" and "Cracked Brain", but returned to with "All Hell's Breaking Loose." I particularly like this version of "Mad Butcher" better than the original version that appeared on the band's debut.
As the bands matured, they progressed into some of the tightest thrash bands ever, laying the groundwork for many to follow, including the death metal movements of the 90's.

 Destruction biography @ Tartareandesire.com
Over the next few years Destruction released a couple of albums and established themselves as one of the leading thrash metal bands of Europe with several successful tours.
In 1987 the band started having problems as the drummer Tommy left the band.
The fourth album was received rather poorly, Destruction lost their contract with SPV/Steamhammer and gathered a few new members.

 DESTRUCTION
They were looking for a bassplayer, I joined the band, and immediately we wanted to go in a more heavy direction, more fast, more speedy, with the result that some of the members immediately left the band because they wanted to play more melodic music.
It's funny actually, I had very good musicians in that band, very well-known in the Metal-scene, but the vibe within the band was never the same as it is for example nowadays.
After the release of their brilliant live album "Live Without Sense" in 1989, bass-player and vocalist Schmier was forced to leave the band and DESTRUCTION lost almost all of its attraction.

Voice of Destruction - Free Music Downloads, Videos, CDs, MP3s, Bio, Merchandise and Links
Voice of Destruction started in 1986, when guitarist Greg McEwan decided that his vision of a punk band could be fulfilled by forming the loudest, fastest possible band on the face of the earth.
With this, the definitive and doubtlessly strongest line-up the band had had to date, VOD entered the studio yet again to record that elusive debut album.
Then, at the beginning of 1996, Morbid Records released "Bloedrivier", the band's debut full-length album.

 BNR Metal Pages -- Destruction
But though the band had virtually disappeared from international view, in fact guitarist Mike was still plugging away, recruiting a new lineup and recording three self-financed albums in the mid-nineties, albums that are regarded as decent in their own right but lacking the true Destruction spirit.
Along with Kreator and Sodom, Destruction was considered at the top of the class of mid-eighties German thrash metal (and, personal opinion here, the best of the three), and by the time of 1988's Release From Agony (the BNR choice for their best album), their unique brand of raw thrash had gained them worldwide appeal.
Pared back to a trio as in the early days, the rejuvenated band recorded All Hell Breaks Loose in 2000, and to date the "new" Destruction have released four albums, most recently Inventor Of Evil in August 2005.

Every band wanted to jump into the Thrash Metal bandwagon in order to sell more albums - and yes, even a great bunch of untalented Speed/Thrash Metal bands got signed by some record companies that just were there to cash in that trend that was going on at that time.
If some band members vision about a sound of a certain band differ from each other radically inside their own band, it will kill a band eventually, so someone just has to go.
VENOM was an important band to us because they had that very rough, primitive sound in the beginning that no other bands were having; so they were truly one of the kind.

Crutch Music Review: Eva Destruction and Her Big Band - Sing Along With Eva
Eva Destruction and Her Big Band have taken punk and made it even more punk by ripping the established sound to shreds and rebuilding it in various forms, adding some humor to an often humorless world of people who take themselves too seriously.
That's the key to this fantastic collection of 10 audaciously diverse covers: it is respect, and, it shows that punk was not "just noise." Re-arrange and re-combine some melodies and harmonies, throw in a Wurlitzer, lap steel, "extreme tambourine," washboards and Dobros, in addition to guitars and drums, and you've got crazy-ass punk gold.
The Chicago-based duo, Eva Destruction and Her Big Band (aka Gary Indiana), have out-camped just about everyone with the release of Sing Along with Eva.
