 Christianity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This usually consists of the singing of hymns, praise and worship music or psalms.
Outside the Empire, Christianity was adopted in Armenia, Caucasian Iberia (now Georgia), Ethiopia, Persia, India, and among the Celtic tribes.
Some churches use only a cappella music, either on principle (many Churches of Christ object to the use of musical instruments in worship) or by tradition (as in Orthodoxy).
