By Barry A. Jeckell, N.Y. As the Telluride Bluegrass Festival pulls into its 32nd year, Rounder Records is commemorating the annual event's 30th anniversary with separate CD and DVD releases.
The 13-track CD opens with veteran homegrown bluegrass act Hot Rize performing "Nellie Kane," and includes such live performance highlights as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' in the Dark," String Cheese Incident teaming with Martin Sexton on "I Wish" and Sam Bush and Friends' "Molly and Tenbrooks."
The two discs feature many of the same acts that performed during the 2003 edition of the Colorado festival -- including Bela Fleck, Emmylou Harris, Nickel Creek, Sam Bush, the Waifs, Kasey Chambers and String Cheese Incident -- but have largely different track lists.
