Enjoy the music of the old west with songs like: Big Rock Candy Mountain (1885), Blue Tail Fly, (1846), Red River Valley (1896), Oh My Darling Clementine (1884) and more.
Behind the fence (on the left side as you exit the ride), between two metal carts and behind a cactus is a cutout in the reddish rock that resembles a side profile of Tinker Bell.
Speeds can reach 24-30 miles per hour so the centrifugal force as you round the turns will pull you from one side to the next.

Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Accident
According to both this eyewitness account and a source familiar with the previous Big Thunder Mountain accidents, this latest incident occurred when one train (#2), directed to the right side of the loading platform, struck another train (#1) still in the station.
For the third time in 10 months, Disneyland's popular Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster ride made news last week, when one train returning to the platform collided with another train that had loaded and was waiting to depart.
A family from Canada, consisting of 10-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man complained of back and neck pain, and were transported to Western Medical Center–Anaheim, where they were treated and released that night.

Additionally, McBean sings for the band’s much-different-sounding side project, Pink Mountaintops, whose lone 2004 album is a hyper-sexualized, four-track masterpiece Jagjaguwar decided to put out while waiting on a proper Black Mountain release.
With an album-length Pink Mountaintops EP in the works and a new Black Mountain record tentatively scheduled for fall 2006, McBean's musical outlets aren't letting up.
Black Mountain itself is one of these happy accidents.

 Ed Kowalczyk "My Sweet Lord"
Kowalczyk says all of Live's past side-paths made it possible for Songs from Black Mountain to be the album it is- the most "pure" Live album ever made.
According to FOL the new release date for "Songs from Black Mountain" is now April 11.
Far from being offended or taken aback by such revelations from total strangers, Kowalczyk acutely understands the response his songs provoke in listeners, mostly because, as a music fan himself, he knows what it’s like to have such a deep personal response to something as remote and inherently impersonal as a mass-produced, mainstream pop song.

THE METAL OBSERVER - Review - SAVATAGE - Hall Of The Mountain King
Already four albums into a career that was, at last, starting to pay dividends for the band, "Hall Of The Mountain King" was to prove a milestone in the band's history.
Subsequent SAVATAGE-releases although perhaps having better songs, better production etc. have never managed to capture the raw Heavy Metal-spirit that is in "Hall Of The Mountain King".
Tipped to be as big a player along side MAIDEN and METALLICA, SAVATAGE never have reached their potential and even to this day the fans are crying out for a return to the halcyon Metal-days.

The severity of the Athonite terrain, the solitude of its oceanic flanks on all but one side—and that barricaded by a natural mountain rise—all came together in a landscape that was an ideal match for the 'desert' longed for by ascetics of any age.

The mountain is covered almost entirely with a primitive old-growth forest and the only visible evidence of logging seems to be a small section on the lower slopes of the west side.
Helens is at the east base of Goat Mt. so it would be unwise to attempt this peak from that side.
The "recently created trail" aka "Fossil Trail" continues north along the west base of the mountain and starts at the horse camp just east of the junction with 81 and 8117 and would be an excellent early season access route to the peak.
