Bill Ward - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bill Ward (born May 5, 1948, Birmingham, England), is the drummer for the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath.
Ten years later, Ward made a brief return to the band for a tour in 1994, and rejoined the band in 1997 when the original lineup reunited for the Ozzfest tour.
He once again left the band following the recording of that album (although he was officially back in the band again in the summer of 1984, but the band did not record or tour then).

 Bill Ward Interview
Bill feels this was the last "genuine" Black Sabbath album because they were still together with all the original motives at work during the recording of this album.
Bill likens their appearance and performance at that time to the personification of Iron Man or the first line of the song Black Sabbath; "What is this that stands before me?" They were dark, rebellious oddballs.
Although Bill was very involved in certain aspects of this album, including the writing and singing on the track Swinging the Chain, Ozzy was more and more out of it and took a notable turn for the worse.

 Bill Ward News
Bill: I just came back from my drummer’s studio -- I have a drummer in my band and we were recording some new songs for a new album, which I want to release in the future.
However, the previously announced plan to release a double album (one disc was to be a re-release of the album w/o the Oz tracks, and the second disc was to be a complete re-recording of the album with his current band) is not going to happen.
As you may remember, Bill was at work on this album in 1997 when his second solo album, When the Bough Breaks was released.
