Bell Records - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After Stanard Music Roll got out of the disc record business in 1923, the label was continued by the Bell Record Corporation of
Bell Records was the name of at least four different record companies in the 20th century.
The second US " Bell Records " was based in Honolulu, Hawaii in the 1940s and 1950s.

 Alligator Records
Bell spent 1970-1971 traveling and recording with Muddy Waters (he can be heard on Muddy's THE LONDON SESSIONS and UNK IN FUNK albums on Chess).
He recorded albums as a leader and as a sideman for a variety of labels both in the United States and Europe, and was constantly playing live.
He's touring extensively with his own band (featured on seven of the 14 songs on the new album) and also working regularly as a part of the Grammy-nominated Muddy Waters Tribute Band.

CD Review of Lori Bell - Lori Bell on Beezwax Records @ jazzreview.com
Bell communicates her love of music to listeners in tracks such as "Cartagena" and "Equinox." "Lori Bell" is notable and embodies the fundamental appeal of her music.
The central theme behind Bell's album is one of Brazilian flavor, in which she enlists the help of Ron Satterfield and Dave Mackay.
Now, Bell has branched out on her own, producing the self-titled nine-track album.

Blue Pages: Bawdy songs, Eli Basse, Benny Bell, etc.
BELL NOVELTY RECORDS 963 B --As Paul WYNN, which is usually a pseudonym of Phil WINSTON, whose recordings also appear on these same releases.
Later recorded with the Platters, The Diamonds and others.
(The first Vanguard reissue mistakenly used Phil WINSTON 's recording.) Note that many of this Borscht Belt veteran's records are not risque, some are not even intended to be comic but they are listed here for the sake of completeness.

Betty Johnson - The Music - Make Yourself Comfortable
This CD contains Betty's 1954 Bell REcord recordings, which clearly show the quality of her voice and is self-explanatory on why she became one of the leading female vocalists in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
The first 7-inch 78prm Bell Record I bought at a local record sale was Betty Johnson's "Cross Over the Bridge".
These popular standards of Big Band style music from the 1950's have been digitally remastered from the original Bell Records Recordings maintained in Betty Johnson's private archives.

 LUCKY SEVEN RECORDS HOME PAGE
2003-2004 will be an amazing period for Lucky Seven/Privilege Records, as we plan the release of a series of CD's representing the Rock Music of Memphis in the 1960's and 1970's.
In fact, Christopher Bell's first professional recorded appearance is included here on "The One After 909." Many of the selections are released here for the first time ever, while others were only previously released on vinyl "in the day." The magic of Twentieth Century Memphis Music certainly lives on in this powerful compilation.
In 1978 Van "went north" with famed music writer Jon Tiven, and recorded his first solo album, ARE YOU SERIOUS?

 Syndicate of Sound
Executives at Bell Records were soon to take notice and took over distribution of the single as well as offering the group the chance to record an album.
With the song climbing to the number 10 spot in 1966, Bell Records sent the group on tour to promote their record, only taking time off to tape TV shows like 'American Bandstand' and 'Where the Action Is'.
As a follow-up to "Little Girl", the band came up with a song called "Get Out Of My Life", which Bell refused to release, saying the lyrics were too risqué.

 Dancing Cat Records
Gabby also recorded this song in the 1950s on the album THE BEST OF HAWAIIAN SLACK KEY WITH GABBY PAHINUI (Waikiki Records 340), and again in 1960 for the album HAWAIIAN SLACK KEY, VOLUME I – WITH GABBY PAHINUI (Waikiki Records 319).
Gabby also recorded a very different version of Aloha çOe, on steel guitar, as a medley with the song Hi’ilawe 1972, on his 1972 album GABBY (“the Brown Album”) on Panini Records 1002.
She finally leaves this sad situation and goes back home where she is appreciated for who she is. Gabby recorded it at his first session for Bell Records in 1946 and soon again for Aloha Records in 1947 (both are reissued on the recording THE HISTORY OF SLACK KEY GUITAR on Hana Ola Records 24000).

 Derek Bell
Besides recording with The Chieftains, Derek has recorded eight solo albums, six on harp and one on piano.
He was invited to be a guest musician and eventually recorded four tracks on the Chieftains 4 album with him featured on an O'Carolan composition, Morgan Magan.
Derek also recorded eight solo albums, including two on harp featuring Turlough O' Carolan's compositions and several with traditional Irish music.

 Kim Wilde Encyclopedia: Glitter, Gary
During the late '60s, having been signed to MCA Records by his former orchestral backing leader and now MCA head Mike Leander, he attempted to revitalize his career under the names Paul Raven and Monday, the latter of which was used for a version of the Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun, which flopped.
Kim Wilde has told her fans in the past that the first record she ever bought was a Gary Glitter album.
His debut for Bell Records, "Rock N Roll Part 2" unexpectedly reached number 2 in the UK and climbed into the US Top 10.

Bobby is a member of the Black Rock Coalition and in addition to recording his CD "'Bout Time" and his newest release "Bobby Bell Live".

Bobby just completed his first music video for his cover of the Beatles, "Come Together".

Logistic Records - Artists - Daniel Bell - Biography
Born in Sacramento, California, Daniel Bell grew up outside of Toronto, Canada, and then moved to Detroit where he collaborated with Richie Hawtin as Cybersonik for three years on +8 Records.
Based on nearby Chicago "track" records, he reduced that sound further into funky, streamlined grooves.
In 2000, he relocated to Berlin, Germany, and released his first mix CD, The Button-Down Mind of Daniel Bell, on Tresor Records.

 Archie Bell and The Drells
There's a greatest hits CD on Archie Bell & The Drells that was released on Rhino in 1994 entitled " Tighten It Up, The Best Of Archie Bell & The Drells".
Huey Meaux from Atlantic records heard of the song and picked up the record for national distribution.
He recorded an LP entitled " Never Had It So Good" and released the hit single " Anytime Is Right" in the summer of 1981.

 BELL RECORDS
However, Bell also produced some of the period’s best blue-eyed soul with the Box Tops and Mitch Ryder in addition to garage bands along the lines of the Syndicate of Sound.
Under the leadership of Larry Uttal, the label—along with subsidiaries such as Mala, Amy, Goldwax (Memphis), and New Voice/ Dynovoice (New York)—and the was best known in the 1960s for Southern soul artists such as Lee Dorsey, James and Bobby Purify, James Carr, early Al Green, Oscar Toney, Jr., and Mighty Sam.
