The music on this album is downright laughable.
On their debut album, Bad Ronald makes a case for the most annoying group of human beings put together in one room.
The band's press release describes Bad Ronald as consisting of "3 MCs, a DJ and enough free-stylin'‚ beats and phat hooks to start any party." Playing this band at a party will only clear everyone out of the room with everyone thinking that you have the absolute worst taste in music possible.

Bad opens with the superb title track, "Bad." As the second single to be taken from this album, the song peaked at No.3 in the UK and was another massive US No.1 for Michael in September 1987.
As with all Michael Jackson albums, "Bad" spawned a string of massive worldwide hits which topped the charts worldwide and set new trends, broke records and revolutionized the way the world listens to music.
This is the perfect song to sum up the atmosphere of the album - dark and bad, but in a good way.

 Michael Jackson Album Reviews
After all, take away the album's cultural significance, which came about primarily because of Jackson's imaginative videos (even the best of these songs are expertly crafted but hardly revolutionary), then what you have is simply a really good pop album that's fun to sing and dance along to.
That said, part of the albums negative critical reception at the time of its release was because Jackson’s unparalleled popularity was held against him, as many people felt that with his immense popularity and pull he should’ve approached more socially relevant subjects.
Of course, considering his enormous talent, which few people have ever doubted, it's not surprising that Bad is far from a bad album.

Michael Jackson : Bad - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect
Then, there are the album tracks themselves, something that virtually didn't exist on Thriller but bog down Bad not just because they're bad, but because they reveal that Jackson's state of the art is not hip.
For this dreadful stretch, everything is mechanical, and while the album rebounds with songs that prove mechanical can be tolerable if delivered with hooks and panache, it still makes Bad feel like an artifact of its time instead a piece of music that transcends it.
Look at the singles: only three can stand alongside album tracks from its predecessor ("Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "I Just Can't Stop Loving You"), another is simply OK ("Smooth Criminal"), with the other two showcasing Jackson at his worst (the saccharine "Man in the Mirror," the misogynistic "Dirty Diana").

 Weezer: Make Believe: Pitchfork Review
Often, these albums are bombarded with website tomatoes for reasons you can't necessarily hear through speakers: the band changes their sound and image to court a new crossover audience, perhaps, or attempts a mid-career shift into ill-advised territory.
But sometimes the bad album in question is none of the above; it doesn't offend anyone's delicate scene-politics sensibilities or try to rewrite a once-successful formula in unfortunate ways.
Considering Weezer supposedly went through hundreds of songs and several discarded albums to arrive at this final product, the laziness of this songwriting borders on the offensive.
