Asylum Records is a record label which was started in 1971 by David Geffen.
The new Asylum Records is an urban music-based label that is part of the Warner Music Group with some of its acts released in conjuction with Warner Bros. Records and others through Atlantic Records.
It was acquired by Warner Communications and merged with Elektra Records in 1972 to become Elektra/Asylum Records.

 Nelson Riddle
The album showcases expanded orchestral adaptations of the original arrangements provided by the Nelson Riddle Archives, and is presented in a state-of-the-art digital recording that was among the first titles to be released on multi-channel SACD.
In 1952, Capitol Records executives viewed the up-and-coming Riddle as a prime choice to arrange for the newly-arrived Frank Sinatra.
He also found time to release his own instrumental albums on the label, most notably "Hey...Let Yourself Go" (1957) and "C'mon...Get Happy" (1958), both of which peaked at a respectable number twenty on the Billboard charts.

 SOUL ASYLUM (Musical group): An Inventory of Its Band Records at the Minnesota Historical Society
After the mostly unsuccessful release of their 1990 album, Soul Asylum and the Horse They Rode In On (1990), the band found themselves languishing at AandM Records without much support, album promotion, or enthusiasm for another album.
The collection includes correspondence and contracts from record labels Twin/Tone, AandM Records, Columbia Records, Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. The bulk of the clippings and correspondence was collected by Mary Mueller, bassist Karl Mueller's mother.
The band signed with AandM Records in 1989 as part of a distribution agreement between Twin/Tone and AandM.
