Aliceb> was still struggling with alcoholism at this point, and the tone of this album is rather dark.
The album's generic mainstream sound is varied only by the disco-era pomposity of "(No More) Love At Your Convenience" and the icky elevator muzak of "You And Me" (a Top 10 single in its day) and "I Never Wrote Those Songs" (nice try, Aliceb>, but the credits say you co-wrote nine of the ten tracks).
Cooper no longer tried to look or sound punk at this point; now he came across as a weird militaristic cartoon character with no discernible appeal.

Mike joins Aliceb> Cooper around 1981, playing in Special forces, recorded by Aliceb> Cooper, Mike Pinera, Duane Hitchings, Erik Scott, plus Danny Johnson (guitar, from Axis, Derringer, later in Rod Stewart Band and Alkatraz), and Craig Krampf (drums, once in Flo and Eddie, and a famous session man).
